Aug 8th
- Alright, the next game will be this Saturday, August 12th at 5pm. This is the last game of the season, so let's make sure and have a big turnout! The after party will be at CJ's Landing so come out and join us following the game.

July 13th
- We had a huge turnout for the last game and plenty of new faces. The game was decided in extra innings and turned out to be very exciting (thankfully the lights came on!). MVP honors will go to Sean Gleason who was flawless in center field. Girl Player of the Game goes out to newcomer Courtney, who made a few circus-style catches in the infield. Good job!

July 6th
- The next game is scheduled for this Saturday at 7:30 pm (the lights are scheduled to come on for us). We will be partying before the game at the apartment pool starting at 4:30, where there will be free keg beer and food (provided by the apartment leasing office)! So feel free to come join us beforehand - just be sure to bring your ID.

July 5th
- Just noticed this website now comes up as the first listing in a Google search for "beer" and "kickball". Must be getting a good amount of hits. Our next goal is to claim the top slot for just "kickball"... or "beer"!

July 5th
- Great games yesterday! Thanks to everyone for coming out to the 1st annual Freedom Bowl. Despite the 100 degree heat, we got 2 games in (choosing to go on with the 2nd game after a unanimous vote). The action was fierce. Bloody knee syndrome was rampant (there were at least 3 of them by the second game). Congratulations Sam Wilkerson for grabbing Game 1 MVP honors. Coming out for his 1st game this season, he surprised everyone with enormous kicks and near-perfect defense, shutting down the whole right side of the infield. Earning MVP honors for the 2nd game was Brian Burns. Nominated by his team, this was based solely on his defense as he made multiple game-saving catches. Girl Player of the Game goes to Team America captain, Julie Hughes, for leading her team to the two-game sweep and a .700 on-base percentage to go along with it. Congrats! Pics will be up shortly.

July 3rd
- The game for tomorrow is on! Thanks for the responses. We will be cooking out after the game at the apartment, so come grab some tasty cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, and dogs, then cool off at the pool.

June 27th
- The game scheduled for July 3rd has been cancelled. We just found out that the field is already reserved that evening (the game for July 8th is still on, however). We thought about scheduling a game mid-day on the 4th (about noon), but are worried about the turnout. If you are interested in playing on the 4th, send us an email. If we get enough response, we will go ahead and schedule the game, do a cookout, etc. Otherwise, we will just plan on playing on the 8th.

June 26th
- So the schedule has changed a good bit from the original plan. Since more people have voiced a preference to play the inaugural 4th of July Classic on the evening of the 3rd than on the actual 4th, we are scheduling the game for 7pm on Monday July, 3rd. This way people who don't have off from work can still catch the game, and we can all bring in the 4th the way it was meant to be... with beer kickball! Feel free to wear patriotic gear, and if you're lucky we won't play too much Lee Greenwood.

Now since we have taken a few weeks off from games, we've decided to give people what they want... more beer kickball! So in addition to the Monday game, we will also be playing again on Saturday, July 8th (5pm). For those who are counting, that's 2 games in the same week! People running the road-race will now have a 2nd opportunity to play. And the rest of us... we'll get more beer kickball than we know what to do with! Start getting excited!!

June 8th
- Last week's girl player of the game was Kim Burns. With a stellar 1.000 batting average and a few scores on top of it, this one is well deserved. Good job!

June 7th
- Pictures from the last two games are now posted. Thanks for coming out last Saturday in the sweltering heat! Next time we will try and do it in the late afternoon/early evening for cooler weather. Playing with a new ball definitely made a difference in run production, and I would say we probably had the most dropped-beer catches ever witnessed in one game. One item of note: The first 3 draft pics of the day were absent at the time of the draft, and were picked on the scheer chance they might be showing up sometime during the game... thanks for letting your team down Jared! The MVP (once again) is Chris Mikan for more solid play on both sides of the ball. The LVP is a tie between Brandon Melton and Rob Sanford. Instead of just stepping on home plate for an easy score, Melton chooses to bowl over a defenseless Gary Obenski office linebacker style. Rob made a lot of errors. Congrats!

After looking through last week's pics, I came across a logo-caliber picture. It's a nice action shot and even has the beer spilling out of the left hand! However, I don't know if much can top the NBA spoofed logo above.

May 31st
- The next game will be played this Saturday (June 3rd) at 1pm. The weather forecast is sunny and warm. The beer forecast is cold and tasty. It's a perfect combo. Following the game we'll be cooling off at the apartment pool (right around the corner) and finishing off the remaining beer. It should be a fun day so plan on being there!

May 24th
- So I finally got briefed on the games I missed. The Bad Guys swept both games again. They are on quite a streak! Unfortunately, we will not have any game summaries to chronicle the two games decided by only a run. MVP for Game 1 is Ted Jennings and Game 2 is Jenn Keith. Congratulations to both of you. And by default, the girl player of the game is... you guessed it, Jenn Keith.

May 22nd - Ok, it was rough having to miss the last game, but the whole getting married and honeymoon thing took priority. I believe there are a few pics and (hopefully) game summaries to post. If so, I'll get those up. As for the next game, it looks that the Memorial Day Classic will have to wait until next year, since the majority of people already have plans. So the next game will be held the following week (June 3rd) at 1pm.

Also, just to give everyone a little more advanced notice, this is what the schedule is looking like thus far all the way to the end of July. We are going to try sticking a Thursday night game in there as well.

Game Schedule (subject to change):

Sat, June 3rd - 1pm
Sat, June 17th - 1pm
Thurs, June 29th - 7:30pm
Tues, July 4th - 11am
Sat, July 15th - 1pm
Sat, July 29th - 1pm

May 1st - The next game has been announced for May 13th. We are following up with another game two weeks after that in what will be the 1st annual "Memorial Day Classic". Check back for times!

April 23rd - It was another great outing yesterday and luckily we were treated to more good weather. Thanks to everyone who came out, especially the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society people who decided to stick around after their softball event and continue drinking with us in game 1. Pics, MVPs, and game summaries will be up shortly.

April 18th -After a few weeks off, we're going to get right back into it with a game this Saturday at 6:30. It should be another good turnout! Since we've all been in a long period of inactivity, we will stress that everyone performs a little extra stretching prior to the game, since safety is our #1 concern here. Chris Mikan will be leading all pre-game stretch activities over by the playground.

April 4th - MVPs have been announced! Congrats to Game 1 MVP Mike Ulasewicz and Game 2 MVP Chris Mikan. And what a performance by our girl player of the game Meaghan! Great job. Game Summaries have been posted.

April 2nd - Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. It was probably the most fun we've had all season! I decided to finally use the video feature on my digital camera, so I got some video clips to go along with the pictures. They are already posted, so feel free to check them out! MVPs and game summaries coming shortly.

March 29th - Hats off to last weekend's Game 1 MVP Sean Gleason and Game 2 MVP Jeff Cobb for their superior play and immeasurable heart. Outstanding girl player of the day goes to Laurie White. Game Summaries and pics are now up.

March 26th - We had a great turnout yesterday despite the cold weather. Pics, MVPs, and summaries to come. We are planning on doing it again next Saturday. Right now, we're looking at sunny and mid 70s weather, so no need to bring the sweats. If you haven't gotten an entrance song in, go ahead and submit one for next week... we promise no more technical difficulties!

March 21st - Under popular demand, we will be bringing a boombox for the next game and playing "Entrance songs" before at-bats. Submit your preferred entrance song and we will have it burned for the next game (yes, we have every song). If you don't submit a song, you will be stuck with one of two options: "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips or "Party All The Time" by Eddie Murphy.

March 21st - Don't forget to take this week's pre-game poll!

March 21st - The next game is going to be March 25th at 4pm. It will be BYOB. Bring cans only please... bottles are not allowed in the park.

March 13th - MVPs have been announced! Congratulations to Game 1 MVP, Brian "Raven" Kilpatrick, and Game 2 co-MVPs Jared Dent and Dana Stelk for outstanding play and being the deciding factors in both team's victories. Outstanding girl player of the day goes out to Jen Keith. Be sure to check out the game summaries for the post-game wrap-ups.

March 12th - We had an excellent turnout yesterday! Thanks to everyone who came out. A few pics have been posted. Game summary and naming of MVPs to come...

March 7th - The response for game 1 has been good so far. If you would like to play, please drop us an email. For your convenience, we will be bringing the beer, but ask for a $5 "beer donantion" at the game.

March 7th - Saturday's weather report: partly cloudy and 75 (excellent kickball weather).

March 2nd - The date/time for the 1st game will be March 11th at 4pm.

March 1st - Fortunately for us, last year's champions, the Liberian Huskies, will not be returning this year to defend their title. If there's one thing those Liberians know how to do, it's play kickball.

Feb 25th - Get a leg up on the competition! Chris Mikan will be hosting a beer kickball combine to test out your skills. Check out the message board for more details.

Feb 20th - Website up and running! (...now waiting for warmer weather)

Feb 16th - We decide to get serious. Beerkickball.com domain registered

Feb 12th - Blake and Burns locate field within walking distance of Gables Lindbergh
